M. Chapoutier La Ciboise Rouge 2009

Côtes du Lubéron, Provence, Sud de France, FranceBig peppery, meaty, spicy, black cherry jam, smoky, leather, chocolate aromas. Ripe, round, supple, elegant palate with very light tannins. Black cherry jam, orange, chocolate, chalky, peppery, spicy meat, leather, garrigue flavours. Finish is fresh and fruity with a chocolate, grilled meat, black raspberry jam finish. Warm but not heavy and great fruit. Very good value here. The blend is 60/30/10 grenache/syrah/carignan-mourvèdre.Tasted: 24 August 2010Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
