Laughing Stock Vineyards Blind Trust Red +10/10 2008
Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaWarm peppery, cherry/coffee/chocolate nose with bits of black olive, vanilla, liquorice root and savoury aromas. The entry is fresh with light, grainy tannins that preview a smoky, vanilla, chocolate, espresso, cherry red with flecks of worsteshire, grilled meat, black olive and dried herbs. Solid but quite oaky and somewhat short in mid-palate concentration (young vines?). We like the price and quality and high merlot content and expect this wine will continue to gain in weight and power in the bottle.
