Mission Hill S.L.C. Riesling Icewine 2005
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaIn the heftiest icewine bottle I've ever lifted (this thing weighs as much as a 750ml), this Select Lot Collection riesling pours a light brown / pecan hue. Hard crack sugar, maple, roasted nuts and savoury nut oil is licked with anise and orange caramel on a full and silken palate. This is powerful, but remains elegant, in its mellow, sweet frame.
