Puglia, ItalyTypically rustic primitivo's appeal is similar to zinfandel. Look for rich, black, soft, juicy fruit flecked with liquorice and oak that is easy to like. The palate is sweetish with more vanilla, black fruits and oak throughout. The warm finish is similarly rustic with a twist of dried herbs and acid and plenty of earthy pepper notes.
