Belle Glos Pinot Noir Las Alturas 2008

Santa Lucia Highlands, Monterey County, Central Coast, California, United StatesDistinctive nose with a spicy, waxy, peppery, rooty, tobacco nose followed by rhubarb, cherry, floral, garrigue and leafy notes. Fresh, rich round and supple on the palate with light tannins and juicy acidity if a bit warm. Cherry, plum, orange, vanilla cream, coffee, spicy, waxy, floral, jammy flavours with a rooty, tealeaf finish. Very good fruit and long but the alcohol pokes through a bit too much with the oak. Fine drinking now. An interesting comparison with the cooler Taylor Lane Vineyard edition.Tasted: 07 June 2010Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
