Santa Cristina Antinori Sangiovese 2007
Tuscany, ItalyThere is a dash of merlot in this 90 per cent sangiovese that was labelled in 1946 as Chianti Classico. Today the red blend is an IGT designate spurning the classic Chianti rules. There is a certain elegance in the glass once you get past the stinky, leathery, earthy, barnyard notes that dominate the nose. Good mid-palate acidity leans out the finish and makes it's a friendly food wine.Tasted: 01 May 2010Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $17.00 | 750ml | specialty listing |
