Castilla-Leon, SpainNormally I wouldn't be that interested in a blend of chardonnay and sauvignon blanc add to that an Old World site and it would be almost unthinkable, yet in the case of Alaris made by Bodegas Arúspide in Valdepeñas, some 190 kilometres south of Madrid in Castilla La Mancha, it all works. Juicy light and bright with a floral undercurrent this is the ultimate summer sipper. Fresh sophisticated ethereal and food friendly. Best of all it is organic.
