Mount Riley Pinot Noir 2008

Marlborough, South Island, New ZealandThe grapes are sourced from Marlborough and Nelson and the mix of clones used to add complexity to the blend include: UCD 5 and 6, 10/5 and Dijon clones 115, 118, 375 and 777. Look for floral, liquorice, spicy orange, nose with a touch of caraway and curry spice. The palate is dry, round and elegant with supple tannins. The flavours are a wild mix of tobacco leaf, caraway, carrot top, cherry, orange peel and strawberry flavours with a touch of tea leaf. Good finesse. $25Tasted: 20 March 2010Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
