Moncellier Pinot Gris 2008
Marlborough, South Island, New ZealandThe first gris from former Matua winemaker Greg Rowdon and former Matua owner Bill Spence. The Moncellier gris is a single vineyard wine made with fruit grown on the edge of the Wairau river. The style is soft and ripe with sweet honeyed, baked apple fruit and gentle spices. Good quality but pricey given the local BC competition.Tasted: 02 January 2010Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $30.00 | 750ml | speculative listing - The Seacove Group |
