The Winery of Good Hope Pinot Noir 2008

Stellenbosch, Coastal Region, South AfricaSurprising quality here in what is a mix of Stellenbosch fruit, richer denser and Elgin fruit cooler more finesse with some minerality. There is lot going on for the price including French oak but hardly any new barrels. It's quite fragrant and clean on the nose with an earthy farmyard note and some black cherry. Bravo.
