The Lucky Country Shiraz 2007
Barossa Valley / McLaren Vale, South Australia, AustraliaThe Lucky Country label is de-classified Two Hands fruit and a pleasant surprise on the nose thanks to its authentic shiraz aromas. Interestingly it is aged 16 months in mostly older French and American oak, then 6 months in new French oak. Look for typical blueberries and spice mixed with Christmas pudding notes with bits of plum, dried herbs, white pepper and mocha. The finish is soft with some acidity poking through reassuring you its Australian. Best with grilled lamb chops.Tasted: 23 December 2009Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $20.00 | 750ml |
