Melipal Malbec 2007
Luján de Cuyo, Northern Region, Mendoza, ArgentinaAnother inviting floral, black licorice, smoky, savoury malbec flecked with bits of cedar, plums and dark chocolate. The entry is dry and round with soft grainy tannins and fine intensity of fruit. Look for plummy black cherry jam with bits of orange rind, black liquorice, smoke and coffee flavours. A bit more generous than previous edition and that make sits more approachable which is great for the price. You can drink this now with flank steak or lamb or sausage pizza. Excellent value.Tasted: 11 November 2009Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $18.45 | 750ml | speculative listing - Waldorf Wine Group |
