Diamond Creek Volcanic Hill 2006
Diamond Mountain, Napa Valley, California, United StatesDeep black cherry colour. Peppery, blackberry, liquorice, smoky, barnyard, leather, floral, coffee, cassis jam, orange peel aromas. Round, dry, elegant, slightly astringent but smooth grained tannins with fresh acidity. Smoky, resin, tobacco, earthy, iron, cassis jam, blackberry, peppery, leather, coffee, cooked carrot flavours. Full, smooth, elegant and long but needs 5-7 years. Fine potential although I think the Red Rock Terrace offers better fruit, juiciness and potential.Tasted: 23 November 2009Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $288.00 | 750ml |
