Boutari Kallisti Reserve 2007
Aegean Islands - Santorini, The Islands, GreeceA barrel fermented and aged assyrtiko with an enticing spicy, nutty, floral, anise scented nose flecked with sage, lemon and vanilla aromas. Round, soft, elegant, fresh palate with good acidity and more spicy, lemon, nutty lees, butter, vanilla, salty mineral, slate flavours. Good finesse and balance but maybe with a bit too much oak for the fruit expression. Well made and well worth trying with pan-fried squid or sablefish.
