Thomas Hardy Cabernet Sauvignon 2004
Margaret River, Western Australia, AustraliaThe source of fruit varies from year to year, often from Margaret River and the Coonawarra. This new vintage is 100% Margaret River sourced. Big spicy, vanilla, coffee, peppery, licorice, barnyard, saddle leather, cassis, lanolin, black olive, tobacco aromas. Round, dry, somewhat tart and tannic palate but some finesse. Peppery, weedy, cassis, coffee, resin, liquorice, vanilla, rooty, savoury, olive flavours. Good aromatics but the finish is hot and tart at the end despite lots of concentration and tannins. Needs 3-5 years but the green remains.Tasted: 19 October 2009Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $90.00 | 750ml |
