Penfolds RWT Shiraz 2006

Barossa Valley, South Australia, AustraliaCoffee, vanilla, black berry jam, white pepper, floral, fruit cake, garrigue, tobacco, dried herb and plum aromas. Ripe, rich, round, full and supple palate if a bit warm but good balance. Black cherry jam, plum, vanilla, clove, peppery, floral, tobacco, cedar, coffee, rooty flavours. Warm but excellent fruit and intensity. Best in 7-15 years. A typically opulent flashy shiraz in contrast to its cousin Grange. Well done.Tasted: 27 October 2009Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
