McLaren Vale, South Australia, AustraliaLike the G.A.M. Savitar Shiraz comes off the Chinese Block vineyard in southern McLaren Vale at Willunga. The soils are rocky and sparse, the fruit handpicked, and only the best barrels make the final blend. Savitar is all about aromatics and lift on the nose with savoury liquorice, red fruit notes that preview a rich glossy red. The palate is slightly tighter and more linear than its kin, with a rich cassis flavour and long, clean well structured finish.
