JoieFarm Reserve Chardonnay 2007

Okanagan Falls, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe Reserve edition comes off a mix of vineyards in Naramata (Earlco Three Sisters) and Okanagan Falls (Schales). Honey and ripe apples mark the nose along with some fairly prevalent vanilla and oak. The palate is drier and more reserved than last year with plenty of buttery, pineapple notes both mid-palate and in the finish. The after taste is fat and round with traces of chalk in the finish. It needs a bit more complexity and finesse to live up to its price and moniker as a reserve wine.Tasted: 31 October 2009Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
