Abruzzo, ItalyAnother good vintage has helped an ordinary red rise up above its station. This Montepulciano is big and uncharacteristically chunky at the moment although at bit of bottle age will no doubt allow it to settle down in time. For the moment its smoky, licorice, red fruit flavours finish with some clunky tannins showing through.
