Felton Road Pinot Noir Calvert Vineyard 2007

Central Otago, South Island, New ZealandPeppery, spicy, black cherry, liquorice, thyme, light barnyard, menthol, tobacco leaf, compost, savoury nose. Rich, ripe, round, supple and full with good elegance and acidity but a tad warm. Black cherry, strawberry jam, tobacco, vanilla, carrot, thyme, liquorice, spicy, minty tea flavours. Long, good textures and length, very good now but will age. In accordance with Felton Road's strict policy of not purchasing grapes, the winery leases and fully manages Calvert Vineyard that is planted with an excellent range of clones and rootstocks. Craggy Range and Pyramid Valley are also producing a Calvert Vineyard pinot from purchased grapes.Tasted: 27 October 2009Tasted by: Stuart TobePrices:
