Guaymallén, Northern Region, Mendoza, ArgentinaBonarda has found a second home in Argentina and its soft tannins are responsible for much of the interest in the northern Italian grape. Look for fresh grapey/red fruit flavours mixing raspberries with bits of spice, cinnamon, mint, pepper and white chocolate. The textures are slippery and sleek with some tension in the finish from the acid poking through. A fragrant ripe red that would be perfect with chicken or veal dishes.
