Condrieu, Northern Rhone, Rhone Valley, FranceLovely open, floral, mineral nose with an exotic note in the back end. This is an elegant totally dry viognier that isn't covered up with oak and make-up. The palate is rich and dry yet awash in apricot and peach flavours that the steep hillside fruit delivers. Only one third of the wine sees one third new French oak sp it stays fresh. Guigal takes his position in Condrieu seriously because he bottles 40 per cent of the entire production.
