Lungarotti Giubilante 2005
Umbria, ItalySpicy, black cherry, black plum, licorice, black olive nose with peppery, tobacco, wild game notes. The entry is round and supple with slightly grippy tannins at the back. Look for smoke and pepper with black cherry fruit, licorice, resin, vanilla and plums with a touch of sausage, saddle leather and dried herbs and dill on the finish. Good intensity and concentration with some ripe fruit. There are some light tannin to shed over the next year or so but try with a beef steak or lamb chops now. The blend is syram, merlot and sangiovese.Tasted: 22 January 2009Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $30.00 | 750ml | speculative listing - Diamond Estate |
