Alexander Valley, Sonoma County, California, United StatesHawkeye Mountain is K-J's signature Alexander Mountain property. Planted from 900 to 2200 feet above sea level the vineyard is often busy ripening fruit above the fog line. Big brawny and spicy it mixes tobacco and black cherry fruit with bits of liquorice, black olives and cassis. This mountain fruit and the clone 4 and 7 cabernets fruit is small and packed full of fruit and tannins. Love the long rich savoury aftertaste.
