Pierre Sparr Gewürztraminer 2007
Alsace, FranceIt's been a decade since we've tasted the standard Sparr gewürztraminer and we have missed it. Now under screwcap the nose is fresh and correct with its heavy spice and floral, peachy under tones. On the palate it is ripe and weighty with some residual sugar and more of that classic meaty, lychee, earthy peach fruit flavours. Think turkey or curry dishes either way it works. Good value.Tasted: 16 December 2008Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $19.00 | 750ml | specialty listing |
