Fuzion Shiraz Malbec 2007
Mendoza, ArgentinaMuch has been written about Fuzion a mostly shiraz-based red from Argentina that is definitely saved by its 20 per cent malbec content. Its appeal is an upfront creaminess or softness with hints of blueberries. Then comes the mid-palate spice and acidity you associate with cheaper Oz wine and a dry earthy finish. The perfect hamburger red no more, no less but we do love the price. This same winery makes the terrific value Santa Julia Viognier and Santa Julia Malbec.Tasted: 30 December 2008Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $9.00 | 750ml | specialty listing |
