Rolf Binder Halliwell Shiraz Grenache 2006
Barossa Valley, South Australia, AustraliaOpen spicy, peppery, coffee, tobacco nose with black berry, floral, licorice, rooty, smoky, saddle leather aromas. The entry is dry and supple with an overall warm palate and silky textures. The fruit is a mix of black cherry, plum, tobacco, coffee, orange, mineral flavours with a spicy, floral edge. Good finesse and intensity with a slight acidic edge. This will improve in bottle over the next year or two. Binder used about 25 new oak here but the regime is flexible.Tasted: 21 November 2008Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $29.00 | 750ml | speculative - Landmark Selections |
