Rolf Binder Hales Shiraz 2005

Barossa Valley, South Australia, AustraliaThe Hales comes with 6 per cent mourvèdre and 4 per cent grenache "you have to work the palate," says Binder. The nose is a rooty, cedar, black berry, black raspberry, licorice affair with spicy undertones. Round, dry, slightly tart and warm on the palate it packs fairly light tannins. Licorice, tobacco, black cherry jam make its peppery flavours. Warm finish but with good finesse and it is ready to drink.Tasted: 21 November 2008Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
