Castello di Bossi Vin San Laurentino 1999

Castelnuovo Berardenga, Siena, Tuscany, ItalyMade from partially dried grapes harvested at the end of August with high acidity. The wine ends up with 11% alcohol, 420 g/l residual sugar and a healthy 12 g/l total acidity and it is made like a Vin Santo. Smoky, nutty, cinnamon, floral, citrus, vanilla, mineral, herbal aromas. Rich, round, somewhat oily palate but great finesse and acidity balance. Buttery, diacetyl, nutty, green apple, dried pear, citrus, smoky, vanilla, raisin and cinnamon flavours. Dried fig, toffee, creamy finish. Fine effort with freshness and finesse.Tasted: 22 November 2008Tasted by: Stuart TobePrices:
