Veramonte Pinot Noir Reserva 2006
Valle del Maule, Region del Valle Central, ChileThe arrival of Paul Hobbs makes this pinot legitimate from the get go. Hobbs likens Casablanca to the Russian River and hopes to make a silky style pinot with some power. The first I've tasted is impressive and surely headed in the right direction. Fresh strawberry and black cherry fruit aromas mix with a simply earthy undercurrent and a silky, mouth filling pinot finish. Well made affordable pinot that would pair well with duck confit or roasted chicken.Tasted: 22 October 2008Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $15.99 | 750ml | specialty listing |
