Grant Burge Filsell Shiraz 2005

Barossa Valley, South Australia, AustraliaFilsell vineyard is approaching 100 years of age and are producing little over 2.25 tons to the acre. The nose is intense and extremely fragrant mixing scents of dark fruit with bits of chocolate and dried herbs. The textures are ripe and glossy on the plate with smoky oak and cinnamon and black cherry, floral, spicy pudding flavours. Impressive red wine and certainly big enough to handle braised lamb shanks or roasted meats.Tasted: 26 October 2008Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
