Stoneboat Vineyards Pinot Noir 2006
Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaIt's year two for Stoneboat and without much fanfare they are coming along nicely. Grower Lanny Martiniuk (23 years fo experience) and family are behind the label and three clones of Pinot Noir give this modest red just enough character and style to merit your attention. The fruit is left to speak without being over-oaked offering up a mix of leafy, forest floor notes with sweet black cherries and silky tannins. Sensitive, stylish simple pinot that is on its way to stardom. Impressive given the generous 6.5 tonnes to the acre yield.Tasted: 16 September 2008Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $22.00 | 750ml | winery direct |
