Road 13 Fifth Element Red 2006
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaWinemaker Michael Bartier pulled 26 lots from 279 barrels to blend his latest Fifth Element a mix of several south Okanagan red varietals. The fruit is ripe and dark with milk chocolate and cedar-y, pepper notes throughout with fine acidity. There a fair amount oak that leads to some dryness in the back end but it should dissipate over the next three years.Tasted: 16 September 2008Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $36.00 | 750ml | winery direct, VQA wine shops |
