Napa Valley, California, United StatesAs you might expect when you buy a wine called Big Ass this red is no shrinking violet. The fruit is bold and dark with a blackberry/ cassis edge and bits of olive and tobacco. There is plenty of youthful tannins in the backend that are better served with grilled meat at this time but that should dissipate in the next two to three years.
