Travaglini Gattinara Tre Vigne 2001

Gattinara, Piedmont, ItalyA blend of 3 vineyards from different elevations, exposures and soil types, aged 30 months in Slavonian oak, mostly large barrels, with 25% barrique. Picked and vinified together. Spicy, tobacco leaf, smoky, vanilla, curry, floral, marmalade, garrigue, tar, sweaty saddle leather aromas. Round, dry, elegant but somewhat tannic with good acidity balance. Smoky, tar, curry, vanilla, floral, strawberry jam, mineral, cherry, garrigue flavours.
