Obikwa Chenin Blanc 2006
Western Cape, South AfricaIt's hard to imagine you can make a wine in South Africa and get it to Canada for $9 a bottle and still have something in the glass but this chenin blanc is just that. Dry and fruity with a fruit salad nose and palate punctuated with a bit of honey and dried herbs. Very serviceable and another reason why we should be looking at chenin blanc before chardonnay if it's coming from SA.Tasted: 10 June 2008Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $10.00 | 750ml | speculative listing - Mark Anthony Wine Merchants |
