Kaiken Malbec 2006
Mendoza, ArgentinaWow texture texture, texture. Chilean master winemaker Aurelio Montes had to go to Argentina, hence "Kaiken," named after the wild goose that flies back and forth over the Andes between Chile and Argentina, but this malbec is simply to delicious . Rich, savoury, elegant flavours streaked with vanilla licorice, chocolate, black cherry jam and cardamom mark the palate of this version of Argentina's signature varietal. Glossy, sleek and yet restrained this is a real bargain for consumers.Tasted: 16 June 2008Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:AB | $17.00 | 750ml | private wine shops |
