Pedemonte Valpolicella, Verona, Veneto, ItalyA more complex wine with 5% cabernet and the lees of the Recioto and Amarone used for the ripasso. Spicy, meaty, tobacco, barnyard, floral, plum, peppery, cassis, truffle, sweaty saddle aromas. Round, rich, dry, slightly tannic palate but full with good acidity. Plum, cherry jam, peppery, spicy, vanilla, tobacco leaf, resin, chocolate, light meaty flavours. Good structure and finesse with big fruit if a bit hot.
