Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaOnly made in years deemed to be exceptional is laudable. This '05 reserve in a slightly more intense version of the regular merlot. The tannins are dense but soft and grainy. The flavours of smoky burnt express are warm (alcoholic) with a low fruit component. More earthy resiny bits mark the finish.
