Telmo Rodriguez Pago La Jara 2005
Toro, Castilla-Leon, SpainMade with old vine tinto de Toro (tempranillo) grapes it has a smoky, bay leaf, minty, licorice, floral, black cherry kirsch, vanilla, coffee, mandarin, tobacco nose. Rich, ripe, round, sweet fruit palate with supple but grainy tannins and balanced fresh acidity. Big spicy, licorice, garrigue, tobacco, stony, black cherry, orange, plum, coffee, vanilla, resin, thyme flavours. A bit rustic and hot on the finish but very fine balance and concentrated fruit, length and intensity. Needs 3-7 years to fully shine but great now.Tasted: 28 March 2008Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $74.00 | 750ml | speculative listing - Winspeer Altovin |
