Telmo Rodriguez M2 de Matallana 2004
Ribera del Duero, Castilla-Leon, SpainBig intense smoky, tobacco, black olive, cedar, black cherry, spicy garrigue nose with streaks of meaty, saddle leather. Dry, round, slightly tannic palate but elegant on the palate. Fresh, round, ripe black cherry jam, orange, licorice, mineral, menthol, fig and coffee flavours. Long, fresh, drier style finish that has finesse and elegance. Needs a year or two yet or try with food. Well done, serious modern red.Tasted: 28 March 2008Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $44.00 | 750ml | speculative listing - Winspeer Altovin |
