Michele Chiarlo Barolo Tortoniano 2003

Piedmont, ItalyVery aromatic nose with coffee, tobacco, smoky, tar, saddle leather, garrigue, cherry jam, compost and barnyard aromas. Dry, round, elegant structure but defined tannins with good acidity for aging mid-term. Coffee, tobacco, earthy, cherry kirsch, tar flavours. Back end shows lots of structure, more so than the initial entry - bit of velvet glove but iron in the fist.Tasted: 10 February 2008Tasted by: Stuart TobePrices:
