Casa Silva Lolol Gran Reserva Shiraz 2004
Valle del Colchagua, Valle del Rapel, Region del Valle Central, ChileWinemaker Mario Geisse is working with vineyards boasting 90-year old vines many pre-phylloxera Bordeaux material. Despite the unfortunate "shiraz" moniker the wine delivers with deep colour and a fragrant dry peppery nose. The wine is dense and chewy with plummy, spicy, black fruit flavours and a fairly plush, dry oaky finish. Love the balance and weight. Good value.Tasted: 23 February 2008Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:MB | $25.00 | 750ml | |
