Vina Casablanca El Bosque Syrah Winemaker's Choice 2005
Valle del Maipo, Region del Valle Central, ChileThis is a completely different from the Oz version of this grape. Dry lean, spicy, resiny nose with peppery undertones. The entry is almost Euro with peppery, dried, cherry fruit flavours and firm acidity. There is quite bit of tannin here suggesting it might need more time in the bottle. This wine requires food now but its potential and track are correct.
