Pillitteri Chardonnay Sur Lie 2006
Niagara Peninsula, Ontario, CanadaChardonnay can be a star in Ontario as evidenced by this offering from Pillitteri. Winemaker Marc Bradshaw has hit all the right notes with this delicate but flavourful chardonnay. The nose is quiet showing a touch of bread dough, minerals and citrus. On the palate it's has a welcomed restrained nature with crisp lemony, tropical notes with nutty bits in the finish. Well done, serious white wine sold for a pittance.
