Piedmont, ItalyPeppery, tarry, cherry jam, strawberry, spicy, vanilla, floral, saddle leather and cigar. Rich, ripe, dry and full but elegant with some grainy, youthful tannins. Good acidity with coffee, orange, strawberry, plum jam, vanilla, tarry, resin, licorice and black olive flavours. Long, rich, good finesse but again needs 3-7 years to soften.
