Tenuta Luce Brunello di Montalcino 2003

Montalcino, Siena, Tuscany, ItalyThe first release of this wine comes in etched glass bottles. Spicy, blackberry, black cherry jam, vanilla, meaty, licorice root, tobacco, mineral, resin and dried bay leaf aromas. Rich, full and round with good concentration but a bit alcoholic with fresh acidity and round tannins. Big, spicy, peppery, licorice root, resin, vanilla, coffee, gamey, orange peel, tobacco flavours with a black cherry, smoky leather finish. A bit too hot but this is very sangiovese and representative of the vintage. Needs 4-7 years to fully integrate.Tasted: 14 November 2007Tasted by: Stuart TobePrices:
