Douro Valley, Northern Portugal, PortugalA fine dark cherry colour introduces this well known LBV from Qunita do Noval. Look for a peppery, smoky licorice root, chocolate nose with meaty, black tea, dark plum, and tobacco aromas. Rich, round, ripe, slightly tannic palate in a drier style. Lots of dark plum, licorice root, peppery, spicy, minty, black tea, herbal, dark chocolate flavours. Drinkable now but will improve over the next 2-5 years.
