Coteaux du Languedoc, Languedoc, Sud de France, FranceChâteau Paul Mas, part of the Domaines Paul Mas estates, is set on the Mediterranean coast, near the villages of Montagnac and Sète. Clos des Mûres is an 11 hectare site; the wine blends 83/12/5 syrah/grenache/mourvèdre and the vines are between 24 and 45-years old. It's aged for 9 months in French and American oak barrels which are 1/3 new, 1/3 one year old and 1/3 two year old. Look for a slightly meaty rustic syrah nose with flecks of cherries, black fruit and floral undertones.
