Sonoma Mountain, Sonoma County, California, United StatesOpen spicy, smoky, green olive, saddle leather nose with peppery, tobacco, orange peel, vanilla, coffee and cassis notes. The entry is round and supple, the palate elegant yet somewhat tannic and hot with huge concentration. Very spicy, clove, vanilla, coriander, chocolate, blackberry, peppery, mineral, licorice and black cherry flavours with a smoky, leather finish. Much more complexity in the mouth than showing on the nose. A bit alcoholic but should improve over the next 3-7 years.
